Fun Science: New Franchise Launches in North Yorkshire

16/12/14

On the 29th November 2014, founder Cressida Bullock and new branch owner Liz Sonier ran a free science event for children and families in Scarborough.

The aim of this event was to spread the word about Liz’s new business and to show local parents just what Fun Science is all about.

Activities on offer included hair raising on the Van de Graaff generator, slime making, candyfloss making, rainbow glasses and playing with stethoscopes.

There was plenty of help on offer as Liz’s three youngest children (6,6, and 8) loved showing visitors how to use Liz’s brand new equipment. They were even more excited when they realised all the equipment would be coming home with them!

The cost of the launch event including venue hire, posters, leaflets and online advertising was completely covered by Fun Science as part of the start-up package. Over 50 children attended the event and parents and children all loved the idea of Fun Science!

Fun Science North Yorkshire will be offering science themed parties, after school clubs, workshops, assemblies and holiday clubs to children aged 4-11 across Scarborough, York, Driffield , Filey and surrounding areas.
